Licensed Professional Counselor
Board Approved Clinical Supervisor
My work focuses on people who push through stress quietly, often appearing capable and composed while carrying heavy internal pressure. If anxiety, trauma, or a major life transition has you feeling stuck or disconnected from yourself, we can rebuild clarity, confidence, and emotional steadiness together.
Hey there, and welcome to Bound in Resilience Counseling Services. I’m Maria, a Licensed Professional Counselor and Approved Clinical Supervisor with two decades of experience, including more than 14 years supporting military service members and their families. I help high-achieving adults, veterans, and anyone who’s tired of holding everything in navigate anxiety, identity shifts, relationship stress, and the emotional weight that comes with constant responsibility.
I’m not here for the “bounce back” clichés. Resilience isn’t about pretending everything is fine, it’s about growing through the chaos with compassion for yourself. In our sessions, you’ll get solid, evidence-based therapy paired with a grounded, personal approach that fits your life. We’ll explore your story, make sense of the patterns that keep you stuck, and build practical skills that help you move from surviving to genuinely thriving.
My goal is to help you feel empowered, more self aware, and aligned with a life that feels like yours not a version you’re simply pushing through. If you’re ready to tap into your own strength and take the reins again, I’m here to walk with you with empathy, clarity, and a little humor along the way.

Is life feeling harder than it should be?
Are you ready to make changes, overcome barriers, or simply find more balance? With over 15 years of experience in behavioral health, I've learned that the most successful clients are those who are ready—ready to grow, to reset, to heal, to learn, or to simply be.
I believe true health and wellness come from addressing the whole person—not just a diagnosis, an event, or a condition. Whether you're struggling with addiction, anxiety, or depression, we will work together toward symptom relief, inner peace, and lasting balance.
My approach is warm, yet direct, collaborative and with humor. I'm here to support you, but I’ll also challenge you—we're going to work! I use evidence-based practices tailored to your unique needs and goals. We'll build practical skills, explore difficult truths, and develop realistic, achievable goals.
Therapy isn’t easy—but it’s worth it. Building your best self takes time, and I’d be honored to walk alongside you on this journey. Evening hours available only.

I have over 25 years of experience assisting clients with trauma, substance use, depression, anxiety, and codependency. My training includes EMDR for trauma and anxiety disorders, and I also use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I am certified to work with individuals experiencing substance use issues, as well as their affected families and friends.
I also enjoy helping clients navigate significant life changes that often lead to depression and stress. In a world filled with challenges, it's crucial to develop skills and understanding to cope with them. My aim is to prevent past experiences from hindering your present and future.
Clients describe me as welcoming, non-judgmental, empathic, and caring. Whether you're addressing a short-term issue or processing childhood trauma, I am here to support you through your journey of change.
